Meet Dr. Sherie Laurens
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Laurens is a University of Florida (UF) alum with a Doctor of Audiology and a Bachelor of Health Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She also studied in Australia, at La Trobe University, with the Department of Community and Clinical Allied Health. While at UF she worked at the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (UF CTSI) where she and colleagues implemented the UF Study Connect program, in collaboration with the four UF Institutional Review Boards. She performed various aspects of data collection and quality assurance protocols on UF clinical research.
Dr. Laurens has participated in week-long medical mission trips in Mexico. While there she worked with teams of audiologists to provide hearing tests and counseling for over 1000 patients from underserved communities. More recently, she was Lead Audiologist at a private practice in Ormond Beach.
